James Rasmussen er et alias for Flemming Rasmussen (født 30. august 1937 i Brønshøj) og er en af Danmarks første rock’n’roll-sangere.   Rasmussen dannede sit band James and his Jamesmen i 1955 og blev i 1957 kåret som Danmarks Tommy Steele.

I 1958 overtog James Rasmussen Otto Brandenburgs plads i vokalgruppen Four Jacks, hvor han sang sammen med John Mogensen, Bent Werther og Poul Rudi i fem år.

I oktober 1965 tog James Rasmussen til Hollywood, hvor han bosatte sig. I 1979 vendte han tilbage til Danmark. I 2007 kunne han fejre sit 50-års-jubilæum i musikbranchen.

Danish singer, guitarist and producer, born 30 August 1937 in Copenhagen. Wins the title as “the Danish Tommy Steele” in October 1957, the first prize being the recording of debut single “En Håndful Musik” with his first band, James And His Jamesmen . Replaces Otto Brandenburg in Four Jacks in late 1958 and stays with them until the breakup in 1963.. Moves to Los Angeles in 1965 to try his luck as singer and producer, most often under the alias James Flemming. Produces the 1969 hit single Echo Park by Keith Barbour (#40 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart) and releases solo album Rasmussen in 1971. Returns to his native Denmark in 1979 and is per 2015 still active as a solo singer.
